Deborah Hyman has owned and operated our shop for over a decade. She purchased this franchise as a way to capitalize on her years of sales and customer service experience. Under her constant care and supervision, our shop continues to be among the franchise leaders in sales and customer service.
     Deborah received a BA from Fairleigh Dickenson University in education. She had a short stint teaching fifth grade in Atlantic City, NJ and Alexandria, VA. She left teaching to pursue a career in corporate sales. She found her home with EU Services, a well respected local printing and mailing company. After 16 very successful years, she was ready to take a leap of faith and, in the entrepreneurial spirit, bought her franchise.
     In addition to her passion for growing our business, she lives with her partner of 24 years, Paula Morris. Paula is a full time PE teacher and our Vice President. They both have a love for travel, cooking with friends, strength training, supporting women sport teams and enjoying their families.

Keith Andersen is the senior member of the staff and has been directing the success of the business since 2003.  His long term experience in manufacturing has enabled him to understand and direct all components of design, sign production and installation. Production planning, problem solving, quality assurance and especially customer service are all important facets of quick and efficient completion of your sign project.  His interest in each and every job, coupled with the enthusiasm of each and every team member assures your complete satisfaction. Keith likes being nestled in the shadow of the Catoctin Mountains in Frederick, MD and enjoys railroads in his spare time. "At our shop, a happy customer is a great sign!"

Michael Doyle comes from a long line of attractive, well-spoken, cognitively astute illustrators. He came to SBT in 2006 so he could provide his strength, frighteningly good looks and character to the sign industry. In his spare time he dances, acts, and sings on street corners for attention. Always willing to help out, but refusing to lend money, he is a welcomed breath of fresh air to an industry that sometimes supports innovation instead of dashingly good looks. If you see Michael in D.C. offer him a Jack & Coke. In return, he'll share with you an entertaining tale of daring-do ... not necessarily his, but entertaining nonetheless!

Jackie Thurman graduated from Montgomery College with a degree in Graphic Design. Since then she has worked in the sign business for the past 10 years. She has worked in all aspects of the business; from front counter, design, out-putting, production and installation. Even though she has a degree in design, being an artist she finds great satisfaction in the production part of the business. Thinking outside of the box is a way of life for Jackie. She enjoys a challenge. No job is too small or too big.

Jenn Shaffer is a graduate of Mansfield University of PA with a BS in Criminal Justice Administration and a concentration in Graphics and English Lit. Before coming to SBT SilverSpring, her design talents landed her such projects as the environmental graphics for A1TeamUSA, and the complete marketing and media campaign for Moore-Cadillac-Hummer's Drift-Caddy. Her time outside of work is split between her rescued Throughbred, Pinkie Dare, and a V6 drag car nicknamed Firestorm. As a customer service rep. at SBT-Silver Spring, shes only too happy to do whatever she can to make your sign vision a reality and hopefully get a good laugh from you along the way.
