DC’s many embassies have a diverse and extravagant architecture.

Each as interesting as the next! The Embassy of Kazakhstan needed

something to show off their beautiful façade and seal to let everyone

know where they were. These beautiful gold dimensional letters

definitely add functional elements to such a pretty facade.

Fun Facts we learned along the way:

Stan is an ancient Persian word meaning “land” or “nation,” and

Kazakh means “wanderer,” “adventurer,” or “outlaw.” Therefore, the

name Kazakhstan translates as “Land of the Wanderers.”

Ancient Kazakhs were the first people in the world to

domesticate and ride horses.
