Our story began 27 years ago. Glenn Goehrung graduated with a Commercial Art Degree and asked his mother, Mary Lou Goehrung to go into the sign business with him. Mary Lou had worked 16 years in administration at Arnold & Porter Corporate Law Firm, and had a Business Degree.
In 1992, the Rockville Franchise of “Signs By Tomorrow” was purchased. Scott, son #2, graduated with a Mechanical Engineering Degree in 1993 and joined the family business. In 1995, the Bethesda location on St. Elmo Avenue was opened. In 2017, the Bethesda Center was converted to an “Image360” brand, expanding the sign and graphic services and product offerings we offered our current and new clients.
Our approach to the signs, graphics and display business is unique. The family business ensures personal attention to all details. An educated staff understands the client’s needs and can provide proper sign solutions. Hiring a staff with varied college degrees provides an overall synergistic energy. Investing in state-of-the-art equipment each year allows in-house production on most products, quality control, and fast turnaround. These factors ultimately provide an easy path from concept and drawings to solutions, production and installation. They have grown from providing birthday banners to also producing whole building signage for high-end construction companies and architects. They provide turnkey service from design, production and installation from the simple to the complex.
As we like to say, "we not only sell signs, we sell peace of mind!”
Today, the family business not only encompasses the immediate family, but 15 loyal and long-term employees. Admittedly, working with family members can be challenging, but Mary Lou gloats on the fact she is reaping the benefits of all that private college tuition she paid.
The Goehrung Family sign and graphic centers are leaders in the industry and continue to win awards for excellence in their work, as well as remaining, one of the top sales centers in the Alliance Franchise Brands.
