Indoor signs
1/15/2025
It’s rare to find a type of sign that offers the kind of versatility, flexibility and artistic freedom that banners provide. Whether you need something big and bold to be seen by passing motorists, or a sign that’s compact and foldable for a trade show display, banners can be made for any occasion.
There are enough options for banners out there that you may not know where to start, or what’s best for each circumstance. Fortunately, Signs By Tomorrow is here to help!
You can use a banner for just about any situation your business or organization experiences. But knowing which banner works best for each occasion can be tricky. Here’s a rundown that can help you determine what type will work best for every scenario you find yourself in.
Vinyl banners: Both indoors and outdoors, custom vinyl banners grab attention. They’re big, bold and bright, ensuring that they make an impact with your audience. Their durability makes them easy to store and reuse, too, so consider using them for repeated events (such as an annual sale, for instance).
Fabric banners: These are more lightweight than their vinyl counterparts, and are best used for indoor use accordingly. Contemporary printing technology allows for detailed images to be screened directly onto the fabric, making custom fabric banners a popular choice as hanging banners in large stores or at big shows.
Banner stands: Most commonly found at trade shows and fairs, banner stands pack a large visual punch in a small footprint. Retractable banners are vertically designed, and roll up into an easy-to-move case in order to transport them between events. Many organizations choose to use them in conjunction with other signage for an even bigger eye-catching impact. Their design allows you to re-use the base while swapping out graphics, making them a great cost-saving choice over time as well.
Flutter flags: An outdoor counterpart to banner stands, custom feather flags are designed specifically to catch the wind to create a dynamic moving element that grabs attention. These either feature a weighted base or are staked into the ground outside of businesses and organizations to catch the eyes of passers-by and are often designed to have several next to each other to enforce one overall message.
Step-and-repeat banners: Also referred to as backdrops, these are large displays that feature a repeated pattern – usually your company logo alongside the name of an show, or list of gala sponsors. They’re most commonly found at events and parties to reinforce your branding in the background of photographs.
Mesh banners: Made of breathable material to allow wind to pass through, mesh banners are best utilized for outdoor use. Consider using them for an event announcement, such as for a grand opening. You also see these frequently used as a scrim around a project or active construction site, to not only highlight the company at work, but for privacy and to preview what the finished result will look like.
